What is the Asset Manager?
The Asset Manager allows browsing, filtering, and managing images and videos processed by SpeedSize in your environment. It offers detailed file listings, search by original URL, filters by status, format, and upload source, and supports manual uploads. Reports can be generated as CSV exports, grouped by media type, with clickable URLs for easy access.

SECTION: FILES
File List
Shows every file SpeedSize has processed for your selected environment, with tools to search, filter, sort, and drill into each file's individual details.
Search
Labeled "Search by original link" and matches against the original file URL - the source link before SpeedSize processing (for example, https://www1.assets-gap.com/webcontent/0062/673/375/cn62673375.jpg), not the SpeedSize-delivered link. If you're not sure what a file's original link is, you'll find it listed in that file's details view.
Filters
Sits above the file list, so you can narrow results down to exactly what you're looking for:
Statuses
You can filter by all statuses, or narrow down to a specific one:
- Processed- this file has finished processing and all of its outputs are ready
- Processing- this file still has outputs being generated; open the file's details to see exactly which ones are in progress. Once they're all done, each output will show Ready and the file's overall status will switch to Processed
Format
You can filter by all formats, or narrow down to a specific one:
- All formats (default)
- Images: All images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WEBP), JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WEBP
- Videos: All videos (MP4, WebM, MOV), AVC as MP4, VP9, HEVC, AV1, VP8, MOV
Upload source
You can filter by all files, or narrow down to a specific one:
- All files - every file in your environment, regardless of how it was added
- Direct uploads- only files you manually added through Add files
You can also sort by Created (default) or Original size, and load results 10, 20, 50, or 100 at a time.
Adding files
Click Add files to open the upload panel above the file list.
Drag and drop your images or videos, or click to browse and select manually. You can upload up to 20 files at once, in WEBP, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, AVIF, MP4, WEBM, or MOV format. Once you hit Upload, files are added directly to your environment and immediately available in your File List for processing.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Uploading files here is for manual optimization only. It doesn't publish anything to your website, replace live files, or connect to your site automatically in any way.
SECTION: REPORTS
New Report
New Report lets you build a CSV export of your files using filters, then generate it with one click. Processing usually takes a few minutes.
Report History
Lists every report you've generated for this environment, so you can track and re-download past exports without rebuilding them:
If you haven't created any reports yet, you'll see: "No reports found. Create a new one to get started."
CSV export format — each report downloads as a CSV file named {environment}_report_at-{date}, grouped by section (like IMAGES or VIDEOS). Each row includes:How to read it:
- If you run a report for your.site on Jul 14, 2026, it downloads as
yoursite.com_report_at-2026-07-14 - Inside, rows are grouped by section - all image rows sit together under IMAGES, all video rows under VIDEOS
- Every File URL is clickable, so you can jump straight from a report row to that exact image or video
